And so the rift widens

I've always thought that a Harper majority government would contribute to the feeling of exclusion in Québec and would thus fuel the sovereignty movement. In today's Globe and Mail, Rhéal Séguin puts my thoughts into words.

Senator Jean-Claude Rivest (mentioned in the article) puts forward that federalist parties only have themselves to blame for the Bloc's success. Click here to read what I think about the accepted idea that the Bloc is useless.

I'd be interested in reading your sources regarding the support for sovereignty amongst the youth. What I generally read is that, although they are less vocal about it, they do support it. Some studies even conclude to a rise amongst the children of immigrants.
